Oct 16 Green Deeds

1. While I waited for the bus yesterday, in the beautiful sunshine, I picked up about 50 pieces of garbage. There was a trash can right there, so it was easy.

2.Placed a recyclable bottle near the newspaper box, hoping someone grabs it for cash.

3. Picked up a few newspapers off the ground, put them back in the box. I always hope they'll recycle them when they come fill the box the next day.

Picked up trash a few more times yesterday, I am always happy to do so when I'm able. Often people walking by will smile, they'll say "thanks" sometimes. I hope that at least a few people seeing me do so, will realize that they can too, we don't need a special clean up day to pick up garbage, to take care of the planet, to show others how we respect the earth.

4. Transit to Farm Market with my own produce bags. Supported local familes/farms/planet by purchasing local organic/non spray produce, Local happy healthy pork, local GF Vegan baked goods - chatted and exchanged ideas with other amazing like minded people.. ripple effect at the FM is amazing....energy resonating from being there is more than anyone can describe.. the healthy faces, the smiles, the kids with faces happily buried in fruit, The SMELL of fresh Food that you never get in the supermarket.. it is bliss.

5. Local, homemade lunch with Cousins.

6. Took stairs when I could, didn't press any open door buttons.

7. Smiled at everyone I could, and showed my appreciation for the world through my joy.

Those are my good deeds for the world for Oct 16th, 2010
